Quick Fall Decorating

Don't forget! DIY is moving to Tuesdays starting this week! That means the post will go up tonight at 10pm (eastern time)! Get ready!!!

My fall decorating is usually pretty quick and easy and uses things I already have. By the time I get settled into fall, I start thinking about Christmas. So quick and easy works for me in the fall.

Some pumpkins and a pedestal on the hearth. Did you hear that there's a pumpkin shortage this year? You'd never know it by looking at the orange speckled fields on the farm next door.

My new favorite fall blanket. I love the color, pattern and fringe. Quite a deal from Overstock at $21.49 for a set of 2. One for me and one for a gift.

Some faux fall leaves in my favorite urn. When the fakes look good, one stem goes a long way. I found these ones a couple of years ago and use them every year. They were a little more expensive, but totally worth it.

A metal bowl that I snagged at The Nester's swap meet. Whose bowl was this? I love it!!! And I double-dog dare you to tell me that I should have used an odd number of candles in it. I'll be forced to throw a fake miniature pear at you.

Do you foof things up for fall or do you go straight from summer to Christmas?

Ooooo! Lovely fall decorations! Love the tray with candles and pears. Cute!

Hmmm...wasn't the pumpkin shortage last year? And that why there are many cans of pumpkin goo available?

So pretty! Ive really got to get my fall stuff out. I've heard about the shortage, infact, the grocery stores here (Publix & Winn Dixie) are OUT of pumpkin and dont know when they'll get it. Thankfully I found some (this is the canned stuff) at Walmart!

Im having a paint party, feel free to check it out!

Looks fantastic! I generally just decorate the porch with a bale of straw, some corn stalks, pumpkins and a scarecrow.

I love how you decorated for fall. I had to be imaginative with the temps still hot in Phoenix but I think I did it.

Very nice fall touches! I love fall and Halloween so I tend to get sad when it goes away and the Christmas stuff comes out. I need to plan more for Christmas this year so it's just as exciting as fall decorating.

Beautiful! I've gone simple for fall as well-a few pumpkins here and there and lots of candles and cozy blankets. I love the deal you found on yours!

LOL! I just took a break from my fall foof-ing to check the interwebs and found your post. I love fall decorating. Fall is definitely in the air in Germany (high of 69 today!) so it's the perfect time for fall foof-ing.

Looks great! I always decorate for the fall season including Halloween and Thanksgiving and then right on into Christmas holidays. My kids would throw a fit if I didn't (and they are already 15 years old)! HA! I have had my Fall decorations out the last 2 weeks and have yet to get them actually put up - so now, I am incorporating them and my Halloween decorations together this weekend so that I can still use it all. :o) Have a great day!

I usually go from summer straight to winter/Christmas, mostly because the fall season is so busy. This year, I'm challenging myself to do some easy decorating, inspired by you, Sarah (ThriftyDecorChick) and Rhoda (SouthernHospitality). Already made a fall-themed project for tomorrow's DIY. I'm on my way!

I am SO excited for Christmas! I have to practice some restraint and keep Christmas decorating in the bag until Novemberish. I suppose Fall needs its time to shine :)

Better stock up on your pumpkin!

I "decorated" for fall for the first time this year. I put some dried grasses/wheat/whoknowswhat in a white-ish vase on my mantel. Then I stacked up four orange-ish books and put a pic of my kiddos on top and then added a small crocheted pumpkin and gourd I made on our recent trip. Not much but I sure SMILE everytime I see it! And my hubby even said he liked it!!

Lovely post Kimba....I LOVE that leather chair, however. Perfect size and embracing warm color...and of course, the fall coverup blanket.

Hello Miss Kimba (cute name)~I've just strolled into your blog for my first visit...I've enjoyed taking a peek at your past posts. What beauty! You've got so many wonderful treasures.

The one thing that can cheer me up as I watch summer come to a close is... the anticipation of fall and all the autumnal colors that come with it and the inspiration it provides for creating. Mums, pears, apples and cinnamon, really bring out the autumn spirit. Thanks for sharing your lovely decor.

I've bookmarked you in my favs.
I look forward to coming by your charming blog again.
Come by for a visit. Your company would be nice.

Sweet wishes,
Sara

I love fall, so I do a little bit of fall sprucing up too! Just a little touch here and there though. I keep it simple. I love this season so I want to enjoy it to it's fullest bringing a little fall inspiration indoors!

I used to not decorate at all for fall but that didn't make any sense because it's my favorite season! I haven't retrieved my box of decorations out of the attic yet, but I hope to this weekend.

I hear Sarah Mae wants me to come to your neck of the woods this time next year! Woo hoo! : )
