Welcome to DIY Day! Time to share your projects!
But before we get to the sharing, you are going to LOVE the prize that we have this week. Seriously love it.
MJ from The Dough Nut has offered to send 1 lucky winner a package with 2 dozen of her glorious, handmade, out-of-this world cookies! Yeah. You heard that right. 2 dozen homemade cookies.
Now, I don't want to go making you all jealous...'cause that would be wrong...but I've been blessed to receive a package of these glorious baked goods and I have one word for you. Oh. My. Glory. (3 words. Whatever.)
I had to wrestle my kids for the Chocolate Chip Cookies. And I hid the Swedish Ginger Cookies so I didn't have to share when I ate them with my tea. Don't judge me. Order some. You'll understand. MJ will surely be in charge of cookies in heaven.
If you live in the Greensboro, NC area, you can purchase these glorious cookies either baked or unbaked directly from The Dough Nut on her site. And if you live out of town (or want to send them as a gift), you can purchase them through her site on Foodzie.com.
And, speaking of Greensboro, NC, MJ has also recently started a fantastic site called Seek the Triad, the first online magazine dedicated to Greensboro, High Point, Winston Salem and the surrounding areas. If it's happening in the Triad, they want you to know about it.
Now, link up a project post! You just might win yourself some cookies!
Good luck and let's get this DIY Day started! If you have something to share, then just add your link below. Here are a few guidelines to help things run smoothly.
- Add a permalink to your specific post, not the main page of your blog.
- Include a short description of your DIY project in parenthesis after the name of your blog. For example, A Soft Place to Land (painted pumpkins).
- Link to this party from your post so everyone can get in on the fun.
- Double-check to make sure your link works and goes to the right page so it doesn’t get deleted! If you come back and see your link is gone, re-read these rules and try again. No worries!
Now let's see those projects!!!

Hi Miss Kimba. I can smell those yummy looking cookies all the way over here. Did you make enough for everyone? :-) Love the batten board walls you did.
Mouth watering!!
Thanks for hosting, Kimba! :)
Kimba, how on earth do you have energy for DIY Day this week? Maybe you're sitting there admiring your new walls, basking in the glory of one of the best DIY projects ever.
Thanks for hosting us yet again!
As anyone who reads my blog knows, I'm in Week 8 of Jenny Craig. THOSE COOKIES LOOK HEAVENLY. I am currently busy wiping the drool from my keyboard, but as soon as I'm done with that, I'll decide who I'll give the cookies to if I win them. OMG.
Kimba~
Those cookies look so yummy! Thanks for hosting the party once again! And your walls are absolutely stunning.
Sorry to kind of DIY spam you (hope I am not crashing the party :)), but it is back to preschool week, which means lots of projects!!
Take care,
Alyshia
The cookies made me drool! They look fabulous. Thanks for hosting another DIY day. : )

I'm really excited about my DIY this week - I gave my bathroom a "green" makeover! :)
Yep - I've had them...YUMMY!! You had this think up quick today. I wasn't even done with my post and already a gazillion ladies beat me too it. Such fun we all have. :)
Kimba, I have to say, I love your blog! I've been secretly blog-stalking your craft projects for awhile now...but always been too shy to comment! I linked up to your DIY Day too (first time I've ever done that! -so exciting!). I hope you don't mind, I added your link to my blogroll, I'm just getting my blog up and going, but if you have time, I'd love for you to stop by!
P.S. I'm pretty sure my mouth was watering just reading about those cookies...they sound divine!
So many great posts! I have only looked at about half of them, but they are all so inspiring. Thanks for the party!
Chelsea
Not only do the cookies look delish but the packaging is super cute too!
Oh my gosh...Swedish Ginger Cookies! I LOVE anything with ginger and I'm half Swedish! I may have to order some of those!
I posted my FIRST diy! I'm so excited! One day I will do an actual home-y, decor-ish, furniture diy. But for now, it's all about paper!
ps...YUM on the cookies!
Hi Kimba!
I enjoy your blog so much. I believe that this is my 4th DIY day and I am so inspired.
I am a follower of your blog and I hope you will stop by mine and do the same!!
Thanks!
Love cookies, love the packaging. You have a lovely blog!!!

The cookies look fabulous! What a teaser! I think I might have to make some cookies myself in case I don't win some. ;) Seriously, thank you so much for hosting this event. It's appreciated!! Hoping you have a fabulous Fall! I enjoy following your blog.
All right, I stayed up late just to get that window done so I could play with all you cool kids. One more window to go, but I'm going to bed now. Time for that tomorrow!
Yum!! These look awesome.
Just found your blog - will be back again. :)
Great article, thanks
Hi Kimba!!
Thank-you for hosting this great party! I am so happy to participate for the first time!
And your giveaway is yummy!
love, kelee
Thanks for hosting this party. I look forward to it every week and it helps with my procrastination :). With the holidays upon us, have you ever considered doing a theme DIY Day one week (i.e. a Fall Decor/Halloween or a Christmas Decor special DIY week). Just a thought. Again, thanks for hosting.
Thanks for putting this together. I love all the links to the great projects. I appreciate all the work you put into this so we can have such goodness at our finger tips.
Ruth
I'd love to have a little taste of home (NC) here in Florida. I've got the milk just send the cookies!
