I know I promised that I wasn't going to start thinking about Christmas this early. But I just can't help myself! I see something and I get all excited to share it with you guys!
Monograms are so hot right now. I see them everywhere and on everything. But this is one of my favorites!

I can't wait to make one. I think I'll use faux foliage so that I can use it for more than one year. I'm still working out exactly how I'm going to make it so if anyone has any brilliant ideas, do share!

Several years ago I decorated a pair of paper mache reindeer with dried greenery & they turned out beautifully. (I think I used dried cedar dusted with gold.)Joann Fabrics sell large paper mache letters. You can recreate the Ballards monogram wreath with dried greenery & paper mache letters. I'm trying to think of a way to recreate those wreaths. I wonder if a plywood base would work- and then hot glue the greenery to it. Or perhaps make it out of lots of heavy gauge wire. I bet it would look nice with just pine cones too.

Wow, such amazing stuff! All the mother's necklaces are lovely, but I REALLY like the hammered "Faith" necklace
I've been eyeing the monogrammed wreath as well! Two options...if you have a JoAnn's fabric store, they have large letters (paper mache?) that you could just cover with foliage. If not, you could always get a sheet of styrofoam for a few bucks, draw out the letter, and use a saw or something to cut it out. Then, cover with foliage. Once you figure it out, let us know so we can copy you! :)

I just spent an obscene amount of time browsing her shop. I love everything.....but be cause a have metal allergies I love the charms hanging from a loop. I'd take the necklace off and hang it on a lamp pull beside my reading chair.

On the subject of your wreath maybe you could try making a form out of lightweight plywood or foam core or Styrofoam. Then you can wrap the form with your greenery and add your embellishments. I may try making one myself:)
I think they are all pretty, but my favorite that stopped me in my tracks as I was looking was the butterfly necklace. It was so unique and beautiful. Also I love butterflies. Love it!

I think the personalized jewelry is great. I gave my husband a set of "Daddy Tags" dog tags with my son's initials and birthdate when he was born. Of course I got nothing, except a beautiful baby. I think I'd have to pick the hand stamped bangle cuff bracelet. That's very simple and beautiful.

Wow, as for my favorite piece, I don't know how to narrow it down! I LOVE all the little dome pieces, and the roses are absolutely gorgeous, but the one thing that caught my eye was the keychain/purse charm! I guess because I need a keychain right now! : )

The monogram wreath idea is great! I've seen several great holiday ideas in the past few days, I need to start a little notebook of ideas so I don't forget them! I am definitely going to try the wreath...I'm a W, so that should be pretty easy. I'm thinking maybe I'd cut the W out of sytrofoam and then just insert the greenery. ??? Any other ideas? I'll probably make mine from artificial stuff too so I can use it for several years.

I love the monogram wreaths - I have the supplies to make a fake greenery one using a large hollow paper-mache like monogram that I bought at a craft store. I think it will be light enough to just lip a wide ribbon over the top and hang from my wreath hook.

Once upon a time, I had a beautiful display that I used on my mantel that reminds me of these initial wreaths. It was actually the word NOEL spelled out in these "wreaths"...they were all wired together and covered in moss, berries and some beautiful ribbon. Can I just tell you how it hurt my heart when I had to part with it? I will not lie...it was hard to store and hard to move (and we moved several times before it bit the dust). Anyway, the letters were cut from styrofoam (the kind you can buy in a large rectangular piece at "the Lobby") and then the "stuff" was attached. It weighed close to nothing.
Well, Diva Hubby would be far more likely to let me try a personalized wreath than painting our basement stairs! Love these. The jewelry pieces are beautiful!
That mommy trio necklace is gorgeous....I especially like the fact that it combines metals - the sterling silver with the copper - very different!!
