Bare Walls Need a Giveaway!

Hadley Hutton is one of my favorite artists and I nearly fell over when she said that she would love to give a piece of her artwork to one of my readers. She's talented and nice too!



Leave me a comment telling me where you would put one of her prints and you just might win it! The contest will stay open until Friday night (or Saturday morning if I fall asleep early). The winner will choose an 8.5" x 11" print from Hadley's etsy shop.

  16. Beautiful stuff! The atumun poppies would be great in my family room - iim still working on getting stuff up on the walls as we just moved in a few months ago. Or the feeding the birds would go great in my guest room.

  17. We are moving to a new home so that we can take care of my Husbands aging father. I would put one of those beautiful prints on a wall leading to my Father-in-laws new bedroom to remind him of his previous home where he loved to watch the birds!

  18. Since my dining room is bereft of any decent artwork, I'm sure it would go in there, but since we haven't redone that room yet, I'm not sure I wouldn't put it right over my desk where I'm sitting right now! Those are beautiful prints!

  19. I have EXACTLY the same corner that Kimba does, next to my new staircase. And we have a light switch there, too, so we can't put in the coat closet we thought we could build in that corner, so a picture would be PERFECT!!!

  43. I am in the process of converting our 'guest room' (you know the junk pile with a door) into a play room for our girl. I think I've finally decided on a 'natural' theme. I'm thinking, soft blues and greens. Her artwork would be perfect!

  44. Well I live in a rented house with 2 other roommates and we do our best to decorate - the furniture part is fine but the walls are impossible. Huge and white and bare.

    I would probably put it above the bar section in the dining area so that everyone entering the house would be able to see it immediately and enjoy it. That area could use a little femininity.

  57. Those are just bee-yoo-Tee-full!!! I would love to have one to hang in my entrance so all of my sweet little company friends could see it when they drop by! I have a very ugly empty wall at the bottom of the stairs. The other wall has that lovely iron framed mirror from Southern Living at Home. One of her paintings would be perfect there!! Thanks!

  62. We bought our house almost two years ago and most of the walls are still bare! I decided to take my time and only put up things that I love and that inspire me. These prints are perfect! It would be hard for me to pick which room, but right now I would have to say my office which I just finished painting. Thanks for this amazing giveaway!

OR I would put it upstairs in our bedroom where something happened to an antique print that used to be there. Long story, but it got ruined quite by accident when I had taken it down to do something to it. So either place, I'd love it.

    "shipwrecked" is my favorite print of this artist, which is how my house looks & feels right now! i think it would put me in a hyperspace where our "goings on" are swirling all around me, but i was standing in the middle of this shipwreck as calm as can be and fixated on my new print! like the eye of a hurricane.

    My husband and I are hoping and praying for some baby dust this month and the doctors say things are looking good this month so, if we were blessed with a baby this month I would put this gorgeous artwork in the nursery where I can look at it all the time!     My favorite is definitely the Bird in the Cherry Blossom, for obvious reasons, and they are the exact colors I will be using in her room.

  158. I had to actually get up and check, but yep, my side-of-the-stairs wall is bare too. (What does that say if you actually have to check? For me I think it's -you move stuff too much!) I think I'd put it on the part of the living room wall that you can see right when you enter. (Lilly's one year pic can move, right? She's usually standing right there anyway!)
